Márton Fülöp, exportero de equipos ingleses como Sunderland y Tottenham Hotspur, murió este jueves a los 32 años de edad, tras perder la batalla con el cáncer.
El arquero, que representó a Hungría con la selección en 24 ocasiones, tenía un tumor en el brazo, el cual le fue retirado en 2013, año en que se retiró de las canchas.
Fülöp, que inició su carrera en el MTK de Budapest, defendió el arco del BKV Elöre y el Bodajk en Hungría, así como de los clubes ingleses Tottenham, Chesterfield, Coventry City, Sunderland, Leicester City, Stoke, Manchester City, Ipswich Town y West Bromwich Albion, antes de colgar los guantes en el Asteras Tripoli griego.
La muerte de Márton Fülöp, quien era conocido por su carisma y fue querido en todos los equipos en los que jugó, fue motivo de luto entre la comunidad futbolística en Inglaterra.
